There are two notification mechanisms at SonyPriceWatch.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n Sign up for both. If you’re interested in a particular item, be sure to sign up for a specific notification on it — not just the blog post notification — and you’ll get e-mailed automatically when we see a deal.<\/p>\n Even if you’re only interested in one item, we recommend signing up for the blog post notifications as well. Or you might miss out on the next big unexpected deal or sale.<\/p>\n You can click the ‘Notify’ button on the main page<\/a>, right above the first blog post. A window will pop-up; enter your e-mail address, press the button, and press the button again to confirm. That’s it!<\/p>\n You can also subscribe to our RSS feed<\/a>, follow on Twitter<\/a>, or like us on Facebook<\/a> as well — the same deals will get posted across social media.<\/p>\n If you have any problems, or aren’t receiving the e-mails, please don’t hesitate to contact us<\/a>.<\/p>\n On any product’s page (e.g. Alpha a7 III<\/a>) there is a ‘Notify’ button under the description of the item (next to the picture). You can press this button to pop up a dialog box.<\/p>\n The dialog box will allow you to sign-up for 4 types of notifications:<\/p>\n For each notification type you can set the desired target price, or disable this notification completely. If this is your first notification, you’ll be asked to confirm.<\/p>\n To find a product’s page, you can either find it via the search box in the upper right, or the Sony Price List<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you have any problems, or aren’t receiving the e-mails, please don’t hesitate to contact us<\/a>.<\/p>\n Product notification e-mails are automatically sent seconds after we detect the lower price or availability in used\/refurbished. A specific product notification is the best way to get in on a deal!<\/b><\/p>\n For popular items we’ll detect price changes within minutes, and for the majority of Sony items we’ll detect a price change in about half an hour.<\/p>\n Blog post notifications are sent after we write a blog post. But since a real human is involved in writing the blog posts, this can take some time, even though we have some of the fastest deal editors around.<\/p>\n Especially when a big deal has started, it can take a few minutes to get all the e-mails out (we’re just a small website with an even smaller webserver). Also, when we send out thousands of e-mails, many mail providers may delay or slow down mail acceptance to make sure it’s not spam — when a huge, across-the-board deal starts, it may take 10-15 minutes longer than usual to get notifications.<\/p>\n For blog post notifications, you’ll receive one e-mail per post; we average about one post a day.<\/p>\n For product notifications, you’ll receive an e-mail only if the price drops below what you were previously notified at; after which you won’t be re-notified for five days.<\/p>\n At the bottom of the e-mails is a link to page of the item that generated the notification; clicking this, then clicking the Notify button again will bring up options to unsubscribe.<\/p>\n Thanks for asking!
